Chicago, the native land of House music gave birth to "footwork," a unique and hyper-active, lower body street dance style created over 15 years ago. This movement along with its new dance partner, Juke music (a super-sped up House sound) is finally making its way to the world by way of the FootworKINGz DVD, "Take Flight". Meet the leaders and stars of Chicago's notorious footwork battle cliques, King Charles from Creation, Prince Jron from Havoc, Tee-Jay from Heat Squad, Bobby from 1.8.7. and Aaron the Great from Terra Squad as they battle for supremacy.

Explore the intricate, slick, and speedy "footwork" of Chicago's underground youth culture phenomenon led by King Charles and Prince Jron, the city's undisputed champions. Moving their feet at lightening speed, these young Black men came from working at fast food restaurants to teaching with After School Matters & Kuumba Lynx and on to appearing in a national commercial, a Rolling Stone Magazine feature, and the opportunity to perform on global stages.

Motivated by a need to release aggression and a desire to be respected in the streets, the FootworKINGz "Take Flight" and land in Las Vegas with Ellen Degeneres, in Brooklyn's Red Hook Community, and across the world with America's biggest pop culture icon, Madonna.

This 70 minute DVD takes you into the world of 6-8 young, black men whose lives have been transformed and inspired by Chicago's style of footwork.
